Energy East Speaking Tour

April 13, 2014

Energy East:  Our Risk.  Their Reward.

Ottawa’s Mayfair Theatre was the scene of the Energy East Speaking Tour sponsored by The Council of Canadians with support from Ecology Ottawa, 350 and Greenpeace.   With the focus on why TransCanada’s Energy East pipeline proposal must be blocked, the issue  was addressed by Maude Barlow (The Council of Canadians), Eriel Deranger (Athabasca Fort Chipewyan First Nation), Graham Saul (Ecology Ottawa), and Andrea Harden-Donahue (Council of Canadians) who MC’d the forum.

Viewers can move the slider to each speaker, their speaking times being as follows:

Andrea Harden-Donahue: (1 to 5:46 minutes;   22:11 to 25:30;   39:50 to 45:44);  Eriel Deranger: (5:46 to 22:11 minutes);  Maude Barlow: (25:30 to 39:50);   Graham Saul:  (45:44 to 62:52).

The following photos were taken of the slides presented, the first three and last 5 by Andrea Harden-Donahue, and the others by Eriel Deranger.  (Maude Barlow and Graham Saul did not have slides with their presentations.)   Viewers can listen to each speaker and follow along with the slides (as best they can!).   Click on the first slide and then advance manually when indicated.
